A Seat at the Table exists to help at-risk and under-resourced 18 to 25-year olds better transition into adulthood by providing parental presence and community support via a residential mentoring program. Two “residential” models will be offered by A Seat at the Table: 1. An apartment building in which a “house mom & dad” care for up to four (4) under-parented 18 to 25-year olds who have been selected from “nominating” youth-oriented, well-vetted organizations. 2. An existing home in which a couple or family agrees to take in at least one qualifying under-parented 18 to 25-year old.

Chrissy and I will gladly come talk to your church and potential Host Parents. Truth be told, we’re NOT going to run out of resilient young people who, just placed for a few years in a stable Christian home, can indeed launch better into thriving, independent adulthood and break the cycle of poverty, family dysfunction and trauma! What a magnificent encapsulation of this ministry! So very well said, L J. You truly have a God-given ability that you are using for His glory! “Come Have A Seat”? written by: LJ Hearn ?x Poetic Believer? ? We stand, hearts open, souls aligned, In this sacred space of shared design. This house, these walls, these steadfast beams, A refuge built on hopes and dreams. ? Each day, a lesson carved in time, A chapter written, line by line. From burdens heavy to hearts made whole, This journey shapes our very souls. ? Through trials faced and tears once shed, Through prayers whispered by our beds, We’ve found a strength, a light within, That guides us when the days grow dim. ? This table here, a place of grace, Where love unites each heart, each face. With meals shared and stories told, A legacy more precious than gold. ? To the house parents, you are the light, Guiding us gently through the fights. Your wisdom anchors us in truth, Planting seeds of hope, in us youth. ? You’ve shown us more than just the way, You’ve taught us how to truly pray. How to forgive, how to let go, How to trust when there’s answers that we don’t know. ? This home, a haven built on care, A place where burdens are laid bare. Here, second chances are renewed, Where every broken heart can be glued. ?
