On September 17, COA's Miami office hosted Brian Winter, editor-in-chief of Americas Quarterly and AS/COA's vice president for policy, for a timely and insightful analysis of the key trends shaping Latin American politics today. Winter highlighted five critical issues impacting the region’s stability and development: climate change, organized crime, trade dynamics, foreign investments, and the implications of the U.S. elections on Latin America.

On September 17, AS/COA was honored to host Governor of the Argentine Province of Córdoba Martín Llaryora. The governor shared his vision for the Province of Córdoba and Argentina while highlighting opportunities for investment and sustainable growth. Governor Llaryora was accompanied by Minister of Economy and Public Administration of the Province of Córdoba Guillermo Acosta, President of the Bank of the Province of Córdoba Raul Paolasso, and Consul General of Argentina in New York Pablo Pi?eiro Aramburu.

On September 12, COA's Cuba Working Group, in collaboration with Cuba Emprende Foundation and?Cuba Study Group, hosted a program in Miami to discuss the current state of the Cuban private sector. The event brought together executives and experts to explore the importance of the private sector to Cuba’s foreign trade and discuss recently announced regulations, that if enforced, will challenge the operations of private businesses in the country. Speakers included?Ricardo Torres Pérez?of American University, John McIntire of the COA Cuba Working Group, and?Ricardo Herrero of?Cuba Study Group.
