Wow! What a great opening day at Association of the United States Army - AUSA in DC! It is always a pleasure to support our Industry partners and our collective efforts to help the US Army meet its modernization goals. Small UAV platforms like the Ascent #Spirit are poised to expand capabilities for air and maneuver forces; performing a range of mission critical tasks including reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition, with modular, reconfigurable payloads. It was a true honor to see them on display across the show floor. ?? Leidos displayed its Co-axial Unmanned Guided Autonomous Rotorcraft (#CUGAR) effector, complete with mock-up launcher and dedicated video streaming. ?? Areté featured an Ascent Spirit with its Automated Image-Based Monitoring System (#AIMS) sensor, displaying real-time heart rate and blood pressure sensing. ?? L3Harris Technologies debuted its new #UGV with the Spirit aboard. It's always exciting to see how our NDAA-compliant #Spirit?is demonstrated as a reliable, high-performance #UAV platform for developing and delivering novel systems that will provide potentially?life-saving capabilities to operators. Here, the Spirit is deployed with Arete’s Automated Image-Based Monitoring System (AIMS) sensor as part of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Triage Challenge. A #modular addition to the core Spirit UAV, the AIMS sensor can help medical responders identify and classify the severity of injuries in mass casualty incidents - in both civilian and military settings - allowing them to perform scalable, timely and accurate triage autonomously when medical resources are limited.
