Collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers is crucial for cost-effective and efficient project completion. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze project drawings and specifications to produce detailed cost estimates, with a focus on concrete and framing. - Assess subcontractor and supplier bids for materials and labor. - Identify opportunities for cost savings, especially in structural framing and concrete tasks. - Coordinate with project managers and team members to align estimates with project objectives and budget limitations. - Present estimates, budgets, and bid proposals convincingly. - Maintain a well-organized database of past project costs for future use. - Keep updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates in structural framing and concrete construction. - Support in contract negotiations and scope reviews with vendors and subcontractors. **Qualifications:** - Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. - Over 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on concrete and framing. - In-depth knowledge of framing systems, structural concrete, foundations, and formwork. - Strong analytical and mathematical abilities. - Proficiency in estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and blueprint interpretation skills. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience in estimating for multifamily, commercial, or residential construction projects. - Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or other construction management tools. - Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements related to framing and concrete work.
