Celebrating the future of engineering at the ASCE Los Angeles Younger Member Forum Girl Day event today at Metropolitan's downtown LA headquarters with Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Nearly 100 girls from three #SoCal schools learned more about opportunities in engineering with Metropolitan Engineers, Jennifer Thompson and Marylin Duarte, and California State Polytechnic University-Pomona intern Avianah Butler. (Chief Engineer Mai Hattar gave introductions). Together we're paving the way for tomorrow's engineers. #Engineering #STEM #EngineersWeek #NationalEngineersWeek #MWDEducates #Education

Looking back on an incredible ASCE LAYMF Student Night and Job Fair! On January 31, 2025, ASCE LAYMF brought together students from 13 schools and professionals from 20 companies at the California Science Center for a night of networking, career opportunities and scholarships. I had the honor of co-chairing this event with the amazing Katherine Wang, ENV SP and our incredible president, Ani Sarkissian, PE who we couldn’t do it without! It was truly inspiring to see all our hard work come to life! And I am so incredibly proud of my friend Daniella Hanna, EIT who received the outstanding student scholarship! And we can’t forget William Goodin, PhD, SWE Fellow who is always an incredible support to SNJF! Proud to share that BNBuilders was a Gold Sponsor of this event, supporting the next generation. Lastly, huge thank you to all our volunteers sponsors, volunteers, scholarship chairs, and the entire SNJF team for making it all possible! ASCE Los Angeles Younger Member Forum
