Thank you ASCE Los Angeles Section for presenting me with Outstanding Civil Engineer in the Public Sector a few weeks ago. It truly is an honor to serve my community as a civil engineer at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Congratulations again as well to my water system colleagues on the River Supply Conduit Unit 7 team for your win as the 2024 Outstanding Construction Project of the Year!

Thanks to ASCE Los Angeles Section for recognizing our River Supply Conduit Unit 7 as the 2024 Outstanding Construction Project of the Year! It is well deserved with the complexity of the project that installed a 2.5 mile, 78-inch diameter welded steel water pipe with a 200-ton, 13-foot wide tunnel boring machine. As you can recall PSWS is an opportunity for students across Southern California and Hawaii to interact through friendly competitions. These competitions include Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, Timber, Surveying, Geowall, Environmental, Transportation, Sustainable Solutions, and more. ? To help reduce the cost for students we are looking for professionals, alumni, and friends to support the CPP ASCE PSWS planning team. Hoover Dam Tour weekend photos coming your way! ?? Thank you so much to all of our members and friends who joined us to see one of ASCE’s most notable landmarks in the West! ??? We had the opportunity to walk through the Hoover Dam's original construction tunnels and see 8 of the commercial generators in the Nevada Powerhouse! We also got the chance to hop on a sightseeing cruise to view the dam and the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge from Lake Mead! We hope you all had a lot of fun!
