    Look, I'm not gonna lie, this is gonna sound bad (and desperate)...but I'm running out of ideas and panic set in a while ago. Next week will be a full year looking for work, and I've unsuccessfully applied to more than 1,000 jobs in that time. While I had some initial success, landing a good lead on a referral in my first few days on the market and then a handful of interviews over the spring and summer, nothing's worked out. The last few months, I've basically had nothing in the pipeline. I've had a couple interviews for both leadership and an individual contributor roles. Neither got past the early stages, since I appear to be a major risk for either type of gig. Near as I can tell, I've simultaneously become both "over qualified" and "under qualified". I have years of leadership experience, which makes individual contributor roles (even ones I've previously held) a poor fit. But...I don't yet have an advanced degree, which makes me under qualified to hold leadership roles (ironically, also ones I've previously held). I've done all the "normal" job seeking things - I've reached out to connections whenever there's a posting, I've gotten a professional writer to re-do my resume/cover/profile, I'm pursuing missing educational goals, I've written a handful of "I'm an expert on..." posts here, I've customized hundreds of resumes to the position at hand. I honestly don't know what else to do beyond raising my visibility, so here I am. The alternative is to just accept what the market seems to be saying: that my career has already ended and I just don't know it. I'm not quite there yet, but that voice is getting louder in my head every day. I'm open to work, I'm open to move, I'm open to learn. Needless to say, if anyone has any leads...I'm here all week.

    Although I have started my own company to do some consulting work, I am still looking for a full time Resource Management position.     Just recorded another podcast with Alpesh Patel, CPA. Always a fun discussion (at least for the talkers...I hope too for the listeners)! We discussed the importance of being very deliberate about defining and designing an #IntegratedCustomerExperience to include: Sales / Services / Customer Advocacy. PS - We think all stakeholders are reponsible for #CustomerSuccess - so we are tentatively renaming the function #CustomerAdvocacy.
