Job Posting - July 2024 Machine Learning Engineer with GIS expertise The job description for a machine learning engineer with GIS capabilities that requires a strong background in GIS mapping and tools such as ArcGIS, Phyton, data engineering, AI, and machine learning Responsibilities The candidate should be proficient in image processing techniques of satellite imagery data from satellites such as, e.g., Landsat satellite data. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as the role may involve client interactions and collaboration with machine learning experts. Responsibilities typically include training and running machine learning models, developing web/desktop GIS applications, and leveraging machine learning to automate GIS tasks. Experience in software development and data science might also be expected for this role. Qualifications B.S., M.S., or PhD Degree in the fields of: Earth Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Geography, Geographic Information Systems, (or other closely related fields). Aerospace/Space systems experience and knowledge preferred. Additionally, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
