We're opening a new art gallery in downtown Akron – FOREVER CHANGES >> https://lnkd.in/g5jt4WTN Over the last few years we've felt there was a gap in mid-level gallery space for artists. Forever Changes will meet that need by providing artists with two options for displaying their work: (1) PAID with 100% of proceeds going to the artist, and (2) FREE with a 30% gallery commission. Based on our own experience, having consistent opportunities to share your artwork at brick-and-mortar locations gives artists excellent feedback on how people experience and value their work. We've found a steady traffic shoppers in downtown Akron who want to buy original art for $150-$750+. Forever Changes will introduce local artists to new audiences, help them grow their practice, and learn to sustainably do what they love. Join us on March 19th at Stewart's Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center for the opening reception of "Beyond the Water," a special healing arts exhibition featuring the work of more than 30 artists whose lives have been impacted by Hurricane Helene. More than 50 unique works of art on display showcase this community's indomitable spirit, resilience, and support. There's an art to designing history walls. We were thrilled to work with Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes to mine their archive, digitize content for display, and design a timeline that weaves Junior Achievement USA's history into their own, with room to grow for 2025 and beyond. Building bridges and trust takes time and dedication. We're lucky to work with partners like John Carroll University Entrepreneurship and Cleveland Public Library, who are collaborating very intentionally with community members to understand, support, and invest in their vision for the future. The "Land of OpportUNITY" mural at Rice Branch Library was created by more than 200 kids and community members from Cleveland's Buckeye-Shaker and Woodland Hills neighborhoods. The mural is a spatially accurate map of the region, and is filled with positive affirmations from residents and library patrons. It stands as a powerful and inspiring tool for navigating life and everything around it. Our approach to this work requires a lot of research and collaboration, and builds so many new relationships. It's fulfilling for us to be able to return to see what they have inspired, and how life is changing and evolving for all involved. ????? #artxlove #cleveland #landofopportunity #mapping #affirmations

We're currently in the process of restoring these benches and look forward to having all four back out in Akron's north, south, east, and west sides in time for the Akron Bicentennial! This was a dream project, and we were thrilled to #makeartwork with so many fun and eclectically creative people! Leveraging a collaborative creative opportunity is a great way to bring people together to learn, heal, or make a change. We've worked with cities, parks, non-profits, businesses, and brands to do just that. ? Our friends at Narrative Digital Media LLC asked if we could assist with design and art planning for their new studio space at Bounce Innovation Hub. As fellow small business owners, we know the importance of small moves and iterative steps to achieve a bigger vision. In this case, that meant developing a strategic design plan with color schemes, layout options, menus of office furniture, lighting, and decor, and painting an office mural that greets visitors and can serve as a virtual backdrop.
