Step inside our Creative Campus! Over the weekend, ArtWorks hosted a small reception at our in-progress Creative Campus to celebrate our organization's next chapter and some of the individuals that are making it possible. The beautifully renovated Bolce building that we now call home is the newest gem in Walnut Hills’ emerging arts district, housing not only ArtWorks' staff, but two Creative Studios, an art Gallery, original murals and art installations, and so much more. ArtWorks' Creative Campus Grand Opening will be held on April 26, 2025 at 2429 Gilbert Ave! All are welcome at this free community celebration. Thank you for your commitment to making #ArtForAll a reality in every corner or Greater Cincinnati. Photos by Phil Armstrong

Fashion icon alert ?? Hats off to Cameron Lee, ArtWorks Photo/Video Studio Manager, on his Style Counsel feature in Cincinnati Magazine's November issue! When asked how he would describe his style, Lee said: "I like to dress for more conceptual absurdity. I'm into pieces that are unusual, unique, sometimes one of a kind. I love wearing pieces in a different way that you should: a shirt as a bottom or bottoms as something else." Please join us in celebrating Lee in the comments! Happy birthday, John A. Ruthven! Today marks 100 years since Ruthven was born on November 12, 1924. Dubbed the 20th Century Audubon, this wildlife artist and conservationist lives on in Cincinnati through ArtWorks' mural "Martha, the Last Passanger Pidgeon," a large-scale reproduction of Ruthven's masterpiece. Martha lived out her last days at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Despite efforts to save what was once the most numerous bird species in America, she died in 1914. Cincinnati remains committed to wildlife preservation thanks to local organizations like the zoo, Cincinnati Nature Center, and Ruthven. This mural shows Martha and her flock soaring over the historic Bird Run at the Cincinnati Zoo, and serves as a daily reminder to downtown residents, workers and visitors of the importance of wildlife conservation and the reality of extinction. Located at 15 E. Eighth St. Created in partnership with the Cincinnati Nature Center

Community is powerful ? "Community Ties" honors the history and legacy of Over-the-Rhine, its longtime residents, and the stories and experiences embedded in the architecture and generations who have passed through it. While acknowledging the past, the mural design seeks to look towards the future through refreshing imagery of hope, prosperity, and unity. Over-the-Rhine community residents not only informed the design concepts for this through community engagement, but also through a community vote chose the final design. The dominant element that flows throughout this design is a ribbon, which signifies the ties or connections of this particular community. A crane, a bird that signifies grace, beauty, and peace, carries the ribbon across the design ushering the values of the neighborhood throughout Imagination Alley. The inclusion of a people across generations creates a welcoming space for of all ages, while paying tribute to both the past, present, and future identity of Over-the-Rhine. Designer: Latausha Cox Location: Imagination Alley, 1319 Vine Street, Over-the-Rhine Explore our entire public art collection at ArtWorksCincinnati.org #ArtForAll
