Durham, NC-based artist Mayanthi Jayawardena is a Sri Lankan American multidisciplinary creative with a background in public health. Now a full-time artist, she uses the power of art as advocacy—fostering change, unity, healing, and hope within the communities she works with. In Mayanthi’s own words: "With everything happening in the world right now, being part of Dreamville this year feels especially meaningful. It’s a chance to celebrate community, culture, music, and togetherness—reminders of the very things that have always helped us navigate difficult times and spark change.
