If history shows us anything… the artists of Asheville breathe life into our community. ? In the 80s, artists revitalized downtown Asheville from a rundown city to one of the top 3 cities to visit in North Carolina. ? Artists revitalized our community post-pandemic. 2022 sales totals in the creative industry surpassed 2019 totals by 31.25%. ? In 2024, artists will (once again) revitalize our city after the destruction of Hurricane Helene. Support Asheville artists and donate to ArtsAVL at artsavl.org/aid (link in bio). ArtsAVL is the arts council of Buncombe County, NC. We are the voice for the art professionals and businesses who make our community thrive. We create resources for a more equitable art sector through advocacy, connection, and grants.
