Feel the music! ?? Arts for the Aging workshops are multisensory and multidisciplinary. Kensington Club Parklawn members could touch, see, and hear music all at once during a field trip to the Phillips Collection with teaching artists Peter Joshua Burroughs and Carlos César Rodríguez. The different textured fabrics represented a different note on the piano and were arranged to form both a song and a group quilt. #creativeaging #artsinhealth #longevity

A dose of arts engagement brings us joy and wellness. This new research shows that participation in the arts is "associated with higher life satisfaction, happiness, and a sense that life is worthwhile." Participants in the study engaged with painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, textile crafts, woodworking, and more art forms!
