???? EpiArts Research Alert! ??? The latest research from the EpiArts Lab shows that arts engagement in the U.S. has stayed steady over the past 20 years—signaling a need for continued advocacy, investment, and efforts to encourage even greater participation in the arts! ? This preprint paper** shows trends in arts participation, with small increases in activities like dancing, performing, and arts & crafts at home. Fewer people attended performances or museums, but those who did spent more time there. These first-of-their-kind findings suggest that while awareness of the benefits of arts engagement has increased, more action is needed. The stats highlight the importance of tracking arts engagement, like other health behaviors, to better advocate for policy and funding support for the arts in communities. **We share preprints to make cutting-edge work available to everyone, even before peer review, so others can use it to push for better arts policies and support public health initiatives. Access the preprint for free now to explore the findings and help advocate for the arts in your community! Last summer, Arts For EveryBody brought participatory public art to 18 U.S. communities, strengthening wellbeing through unique, scalable collaborations across the arts, health, and municipal sectors. In February, leaders and artists from these diverse communities gathered to reflect, share impact, and inspire nationwide action in arts-driven community healing. Last week, we attended the Arts For EveryBody Capstone Convening in Dallas, TX , meeting with the leaders from all 18 sites for the first time - a remarkable community of artists, creatives, thought leaders and change-makers! Check out the crew and some of the key themes that came from the conversations. We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who has contributed to making the 3-year initiative a success! Whether you were on the national team, the site team, participated in the events of July 27th, took the arts engagement survey, or worked on the research with us, this couldn't have been possible without YOU! We can't wait to share the research & findings from the survey and Arts For EveryBody projects. Stay tuned for some groundbreaking insights!
