Arts For All recently partnered with Mika Higgins-Woo to organize a student-run Walk-A-Thon! On October 6, the Mika and her Walk-A-Thon crew of fellow students walked from the United Palace Theatre on 175th Street to 50th Street over three hours. With an initial goal of $3,000, we are honored that the students have now surpassed that amount and are continuing to reach out to sponsors. All proceeds of this Walk-A-Thon will go towards funding arts workshops for underserved schools and youth organizations across NYC. A part of Arts For All's Artistic Residency Program, The Sensory Museum video series is designed to engage elementary students (ages 4-8) in exploring?the five senses through interactive and creative activities. Lead by AFA Teaching Artist Nicole Hogsett, each episode focuses on one of the senses — sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch — using theater, music, movement, and visual arts to enhance learning. This video series incorporates Spanish vocabulary to assist young English Language Learners (ELL) as well as English speaking youth looking to learn Spanish.
