关于我们
Arts Alliance Illinois fights for arts resources and policies that benefit our members and all Illinois residents. As the only statewide, multidisciplinary organization concentrated on the strength of arts and culture, the Alliance takes on challenges that no single organization or artist can face alone. Arts Alliance Illinois envisions a world where the arts are central and indispensable to Illinois, where people acknowledge that the arts enhance their quality of life, fuel creativity and innovation, sharpen the state’s competitive edge, attract and retain talent, promote cross-cultural understanding, aid in solving civic and social issues, and keep Illinois nationally and globally connected. Our focus areas include: ? Statewide civic engagement, through which we position arts and culture as a source of creative solutions to a broad range of challenges. ? Arts education, through which we promote arts-centered learning and the development of a creative and adaptive workforce. ? Cultural equity, through which we foster equitable access to and participation in arts and culture, and advance historically neglected or marginalized forms of expression.

Last Wednesday, Governor Pritzker delivered his State of the State address and released his FY26 budget proposal. In an exciting response to the nearly 2,200 advocates who signed our letter from the creative community calling for protecting last year's historic funding increase for the Illinois Arts Council (IAC), Governor Pritzker proposed $25.7M in funding for IAC, which is a hair above last year's proposed funding. This is a huge win for our sector and a testament to the impact of our collective advocacy! We now have to remain vigilant and make sure our legislators know how important it is to pass this funding in the final budget. In January, Arts Alliance delivered a letter to Governor Pritzker signed by over 2,000 Illinois creatives calling for protecting the historic gains achieved for the arts in last year's budget. With the Governor's budget address coming up next week, we now must turn our focus to our state legislators and get their support. Our advocacy at the state level is more important than ever. Forwarding the letter to your legislator takes less than a minute and will go a long way in making the needs of our sector heard in a challenging budget season. Calling all arts and culture organizations and businesses in Illinois! To continue fighting for critical resources and funding for the arts in our state, we need big-picture information about how arts and culture organizations across Illinois are doing right now. Our survey takes less than a minute to complete and will directly inform our advocacy efforts in the coming year. We need to hear from as many organizations in Illinois as possible. Once you've filled out the survey, forward it to your friends and colleagues in the arts. https://lnkd.in/giMdtnRQ
