From swamplands to mountaintops: TIAA's new headquarters brings Texas landscapes indoors. With less than a week until TIAA's grand opening, we're revealing the artists behind the creations. Meet AVO studios, whose monumental textile piece "River Flux" flows through TIAA's campus. Spanning an impressive 23' x 9' corner, this hand-dyed leather lace and nylon installation is actually a topographic map of Frisco, Texas — undulating hills and mountains that tie the TIAA Tower to its new neighborhood. This piece: ? Creates immersive spatial experience ? Enhances workplace through site-specific design ? Reinforces connection to place ? Celebrates innovative artists and their techniques ? Transforms ordinary corners into a flowing landscape Watch AVO's creative process unfold in this behind-the-scenes video. This boundary-pushing installation is just one of 150+ artworks we've curated for TIAA's new Frisco campus. Follow along as we count down to the March 25th opening, revealing how art collections enhance the workplace.

Art Consultant for Commercial Real Estate | Founder + CEO | I Help Companies and CRE Developers Transform Spaces with Art to Attract Ideal Tenants, Residents, and Employees

"Why should I spend money on art? What's the ROI?' A prominent real estate developer asked me that last week. In his mind, art was just decoration. I get it. Art for real estate projects is frequently left to the last minute when funds are gone. Generic, decorative options are selected 'just to have something on the walls.' Here's what I told him based on my experience curating art for over 20M square feet of commercial real estate: Intentionally decide to budget for art so it delivers impact. 1. Strategic art placement is much more than decoration ?? Art is a key element of exceptional tenant experience. ?? People are 50% likelier to spend time in places with art. 2. Adding a mural to your property delivers big ROI ?? Public art can increase retail sales by 40% ?? Public art can increase property values by 20-35% 3. The presence of art influences our decisions ?? 90% of decisions are made subconsciously (Stanford) ?? Art significantly impacts how we feel about a space, and if we would choose to return. (even if we don't consciously realize it!) I hear evidence of this from clients all the time: ?? "People always prefer to sit in the areas with art." ?? "People come in the lobby and ask if they can take a picture in front of the art." ?? "I never realized how much it would affect people. They always comment on how much they love our art." Think about it. Does art affect how you feel in a space? Drop your comments ??! Artist | Emily Eisenhart Please ?? repost to share a Daily Dopamine Dose of Art. • From swamplands ?? to mountaintops ??: TIAA's new headquarters brings Texas landscapes indoors. Fun Fact: The art collection at TIAA's 15-story headquarters is organized by elevation. As you move up through the building, artwork mirrors Texas itself — starting with mystical East Texas swamps, rising through the rolling Hill Country, and culminating in the dramatic desert peaks of Big Bend. __ With two weeks until TIAA's grand opening, we're revealing the artists behind the collection. Meet Andrea Reyes, Texas-born artist with roots in both Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Mexico. With depth from layers of gouache, watery teal tones and acrylic accents, her vibrant, dimensional mixed media piece captures the marshy landscapes that inspired the campus's lower levels. This is strategic art curation in action: ? Creates conversation pieces ? Enhances workplace experience ? Reinforces brand values ? Celebrates diverse perspectives ? Connects employees to place and community Watch Andrea's creative process unfold in this behind-the-scenes video. This is just one of the 150+ artworks we've curated for TIAA's new Frisco campus. Follow along as we count down to the March 25th opening, revealing how thoughtful art collections can improve corporate environments.

  • First impressions happen in milliseconds. Art makes them count. Environmental psychology research indicates that first impressions form within?100 milliseconds?(0.1 seconds!) of entering a space. Visual elements like color and artwork disproportionately influence judgments. In multifamily development, the right entry sets the tone for the entire property. When you invest in impactful art, you make meaning for residents, turning "house" to "home."

  • Up the stairs ?? and up the charts! ??? ?? At HillTop student apartments, we've designed art that turns each floor into a chapter of Austin's music story. Lower levels feature vintage gramophones and hole-in-the-wall clubs. Upper floors showcase more modern tech like cassettes, and legendary stages like Stubb's! This vertical artistic journey connects students with Austin's cultural heritage, and brings the musician's path to fame to life across common spaces.

46 Million people have viewed this video! It's from a night no one could believe... Mr Doodle painted this 50'x 60' mural for 14-hours straight! It was in Downtown Austin during SXSW. The crowds cheered. The result was pure joy! And the joy spread, to 46 MILLION people. That's the power of strategically placed, awesome public art. Social media and word of mouth extend an art installation's impact. For building owners, being 'instagrammable' expands your brand recognition far beyond your physical location. There is a 77% greater chance that someone will recommend a location if it has art. Our emotional connection to art is in our DNA, and the data is clear. Art is a people attractor that leads to more foot traffic and higher sales! Where is your favorite mural or public art piece? Please ?? repost to share a Daily Dopamine Dose of Art!
