Creating opportunities to celebrate acts of creativity and engage in meaningful experiences through the arts

关于我们

Artly World empowers communities by creating opportunities to celebrate acts of creativity and engage in meaningful experiences through the arts. We envision a future where all people connect with their own innate creativity and artistic spirit and realize their important role in their community. Artly World leads initiatives that emphasize participation and community engagement in the arts and that enable artists, musicians, and performers to share their work and passion with a broader audience. We provide arts and cultural programs to underserved audiences, specifically audiences with limited access to arts opportunities due to economic factors, and create public opportunities for artists to showcase and perform their work. We also provide networking and professional development opportunities for artists, musicians, and performers through our initiative Artist Relief Project. We believe: Creativity and the arts allow us to reconnect with what it means to be human. Communities benefit when youth and families are engaged in the arts. Quality arts and cultural experiences should be accessible to all. The work done by arts professionals and educators should be valued as central and critical to a healthy society. If our cause resonates with you, please feel free to reach out to us to see how you can get involved.

  • March Topic: AI, Human Agency, and the Creative Process How much control do you maintain over the creative process when using AI tools? Where do you draw the line between the steps/decisions you outsource to technology and those you reserve for yourself as the human artist/creator? For our March Artists and the Age of AI meetup, we’re exploring the impacts of AI tools on the creative process. Skeptics and anti-AI artivists might argue that artistic work created with AI lacks human agency, vision, and creativity. In an engaging dialogue with artists and creatives who incorporate these tools into their process on regular basis, we'll consider case study examples to explore the ways artists are maintaining their artistic vision and central role as a human creator when using AI tools. Join the conversation this Thursday, March 20, on the 1st floor at Capital Factory in downtown Austin. We'll bring discussion points to get the dialogue flowing—You bring your thoughts, experiences, and viewpoints as a creative working with AI. And this month we'll enjoy beverages courtesy of Liquid Death and Karbach Brewing Co. RSVP on Meetup at: https://lnkd.in/gMqpWPRw _____________________________ About Artists and the Age of AI meetups: Artists and the Age of AI meetups are a warm, collegial, and inviting space for creatives of all backgrounds, disciplines, and levels of experience to exchange their perspectives, opinions, and concerns about the current state and future of the arts, AI, and technology.?We meet second Thursdays of the month at Capital Factory in downtown Austin. • February Topic: AI and the Future of Work AI is redefining the boundaries, forms, and necessities of human work. So what do the jobs of the future look like? And how might the work of artists and creatives be impacted and/or redefined? For our February Artists and the Age of AI meetup, we’re exploring the larger impacts of AI on society by talking about the Future of Work. What sorts of work are going to be taken over by AI? What work will and/or should be left to humans? Looking forward to an engaging discussion. Join the conversation this Thursday, February 13, on the 1st floor at Capital Factory in downtown Austin. We'll bring the snacks and discussion points to get the conversation going---You bring your thoughts, experiences, and viewpoints as a creative working with AI. I grew up learning about the #US through the lens of #Hollywood, seeing everyone with big cars, houses, etc. But my journey of volunteering here in the US showed me a different story. Volunteering at different places, such as the food banks in #Austin, community gardens, and the prison system in #Houston, revealed the reality of life in underserved communities. This journey also led me to become a part of Artly World Nonprofit a nonprofit that provides free programs for economically disadvantaged kids and seniors. As a volunteer-founded nonprofit, we’ve been serving our community for over 12 years. Today, I’m here to ask for help to continue our programming for low-income seniors in Austin. Most of them are disabled, without families to care for them, with less than $50 of disposable income per month. They are often left feeling alone, isolated, and invisible. Our free #arts, #music, and #cultural programs give these seniors an outlet to connect with themselves and others, and to gain a newfound sense of purpose and accomplishment in their lives. They enjoy community, camaraderie, and a fun and joyful way to fight loneliness. 1. If you are able, I’d like you to consider making an end-of-year donation to support our programs for seniors in 2025.? 2. Help us spread word about this important fundraising campaign by sharing the link with your friends, family, and network. Fundraiser link- https://lnkd.in/gaMVsKkR As the richest country on this planet, we should be able to protect the dignity of our seniors and provide them with a better quality of life during their Golden Years. Thoughts? Let’s talk in the comments below. #Philanthropy #Austinevents #AustinTexas #atx #Texas #Holidays #Mentalhealth #wellness #art #culture

  • For our November meetup, we continue our deep dive into the topic of AI and Inclusion as part of our discussion on the larger impacts of AI in society. How is AI contributing to the development of a more inclusive society across different fields? Or might it be exacerbating existing inequalities and potentially creating new exclusivities? What can we learn from examples across disciplines, and how might these insights more specifically apply to the arts? We’ll also be discussing what our next year’s programs and on-ground efforts might look like with this perspective of inclusion as a priority in mind. Join the conversation Thursday, November 14, on the 1st floor at Capital Factory in downtown Austin. We’re excited for an engaging exchange of opinions and perspectives! All perspectives and levels of experience will be respected and given space to express their opinions. Special thanks to Capital Factory and Brown Distributing Company for supporting this series of Artists and the Age of AI meetups. This month we'll enjoy beverages courtesy of Liquid Death and Karbach Brewing Co. More details and RSVP on Meetup at https://lnkd.in/g-V6Xkbt
