ArtLifting is featured on the front page of The Boston Globe business section today! ???? jonathan saltzman’s article highlights how some of the biggest names in biotech—like Moderna, Pfizer, Takeda, Eli Lilly and Company, and Foundation Medicine—are transforming their spaces with ArtLifting artwork by artists with disabilities. One of our amazing artists, Lisa Murphy, said it best: “People need to reassess who they think is mentally ill and who they think is disabled. It’s not as easy to dismiss the entire disability community if you’re looking them in the face. Literally.” Her words powerfully convey the importance of visibility and inclusion. We couldn’t be prouder of our artists like Lisa, Allen Chamberland, Nick Morse, and Rudolph Jean-Louis, whose incredible work is now showcased in the article and spaces across Boston. Thank you to our partners for championing inclusion and social impact! Through partnerships like these, we’re able to uplift the stories and talents of 190 artists across 35 states. Since our founding ten years ago, we’ve sold tens of millions of dollars of artwork with the majority of the profit from art sales going straight back to the artists. We're grateful to our clients for recognizing the importance of inclusive design and social impact in their spaces, and to the talented and innovative artists whose work is at the forefront of this movement. ?? Huge thanks to our partners at Moderna, Pfizer, Sanofi, Takeda, Ipsen, BlueRock Therapeutics, Remix Therapeutics, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc., National Development,?and WS Development for championing our mission. Together, we’re creating environments that foster positive change. Join us in welcoming Laural Hartman (@laural.hartman) to the ArtLifting community! Laural is a talented painter and printmaker from Pittsford, NY. ?? Laural brings a rich perspective shaped by her lived experience as a Deaf artist, transforming her deep observations of the world into vibrant, layered artwork. "I aim to communicate the unique perspective and insights that come from living in a world where sound is not a primary source of information," she shares. Growing up in Los Angeles in a family that valued creativity, Laural’s understanding of the world came through keen visual awareness. Her work reflects this: each piece is layered with textures and patterns — oil, wax, and screen prints — that hint at personal journeys, maps, and hidden stories. Through ArtLifting, she hopes to extend her art into spaces across the country, connecting her work with new audiences who value art that invites deeper reflection. Let’s celebrate Laural’s journey and artistry as she connects with new communities through ArtLifting! ?? Blue grid lines, black scribbles, and map-like patterns add intricate detail. The text "unknown" is partially visible in pink along the right edge. 4 - Here and There - A dynamic collage of bright colors and shapes, dominated by pink floral patterns, orange shapes, and blue accents. Zigzags, grid patterns, and layered textures cover the canvas with reds, yellows, and blacks mixed throughout. 5 - Junction - A geometric abstract piece with green, yellow, and red elements against a black and white grid. Brown zigzags, green scribbles, and blue shapes intersect, with a large yellow circle adding contrast in the center. Red lines and black scribbles add detail at the bottom.

ArtLifting is thrilled to welcome Mary Payton (@paytonology), practicing out of Sioux Falls, SD! ?? Growing up surrounded by art and family support, Mary’s love for creativity blossomed early. In 2015, her life shifted when an autoimmune disease impacted her vision. This unique neurological condition changed how she sees the world and sparked a new artistic path. Her artwork now reflects this extraordinary #vision — bold colors, intricate layers, and floating shapes that convey her perspective of “visual disturbances” with depth and movement. Mary says, "The unique and beautiful way my brain sees the world now has inspired my artwork to be more vibrant, joyful, and full of movement." Each painting pulses with her passion and resilience, celebrating her connection to art as both a therapeutic and joyful pursuit. Mary is excited to join ArtLifting, finding a team that celebrates artists with disabilities and connects them with new audiences. Join us in welcoming Mary and her incredible talent! ?? For a limited time, South Station Tower is home to one of the largest public art installations in Boston. We recently partnered with Pelli Clarke & Partners and ArtLifting to bring a nearly 6,500-square-foot reproduction of Emerald Tree by Boston-based artist Allen Chamberland to Atlantic Avenue. Mere steps from the Rose Kennedy Greenway, the design is meant to immerse passersby in an artistic landscape surrounding the final stages of construction. Co-founded by Liz Powers in 2013 after she’d spent time as a social worker in Boston, Artlifting seeks to provide an avenue for empowerment and validation for artists impacted by housing insecurity and disabilities. WOW! I am feeling incredibly grateful. I had the opportunity to give the closing keynote to 1,400 corporate real estate leaders at CoreNet Global Summit in DC this weekend! I am thankful for the opportunity to share the stories of some of ArtLifting's 200 amazing artists and 500 corporate partners with the crowd. In my keynote I shared how art bridges our experiences, fosters empathy, and transforms spaces into places of meaning and inclusion. I cried during my closing remarks following a powerful video of ArtLifting artists speaking about the impact that ArtLifting has had on their lives. Much of the audience cried along with me. For the 6 hours after the keynote, people told me about how they shed tears thinking about how ArtLifting’s mission connects to people in their lives with disabilities. The audience in the room is collectively in charge of billions of square feet. I can’t imagine the potential impact that the audience could have on ArtLifting artists! ?? ???♀? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? I’m grateful to the many people who made this weekend possible: ??A BIG thank you to Jeri Ballard for originally introducing me to CoreNet leadership last winter and suggesting me for the keynote. ??Thanks to artists David McCauley and Yvette for live painting throughout the conference. It takes a lot of bravery to paint in general…never mind in front of 1,500 people! ??Thanks to the amazing ArtLifting team who did a fabulous job representing our mission at CoreNet Michael Korcek, Zara Makhdoom, Anne Bustamante, and Haley Wodarczyk. Thanks to my colleagues Laura Prados-Bacó and Leah Mosher who did a lot of “heavy lifting” from home. ??Thanks for the CoreNet team for organizing a fabulous conference: Henry Rosales, Sonali Tare, Lindsay Mitchell, @Alex Bourbeau ??Thanks to the audience for your vulnerability. Thanks to the 100s of people who approached our team and said you want to work together! ??Thanks to the many real estate leaders who gave me feedback on my speech from WorkSpaces two weeks ago. Thank you Phil Kirschner, Yasmien Fadl, Eva Rijser, Michelle Myer, Marisa Galioto (Falletta), Brian Cusack, Edward Kundla, Leslie Perrini, Alexandra Ernst, Guy Trerotola, Gerard Visser, Christopher LaPata, Fernando Faria, Brett Hautop, and Melanie Arden. ??Thanks to Diego Pocoví and Katie Elia-Shannon for the incredible video sharing artist voices. ??Great photos from many people in the audience including Peter Van Emburgh, Mark B. Watkins, Rex Miller, Kathleen Carrell, Stuart Bern, Brooke Harrington, Yasmien Fadl, Chloe Waller, and JJ B.. Here’s to working together to exponentially increase our impact! ????????????????????????????????????????????????????
