ARTivism initiative

ARTivism is a portmanteau word combining art and activism and is a concept that has existed since far, far before our start. The Massachusetts-based ARTivism Initiative was launched in 2019 to encourage Central Massachusetts creatives to use their craft as a tool to spread consciousness and inspire change in our communities. Since our start, we have grown into a collective of artist-activists (“ARTivists”) who believe in art as a catalyst for change. Our mission is to practice and nurture open-mindedness, acceptance, gratitude, and compassion as individuals from all walks of life gather together to create, inform, and tell their stories through art. The ARTivism Initiative projects/galleries are ongoing and theme-based. They encourage individuals to think critically about our world through the arts.
