When he's not working on high-end custom learning videos, he's out winning awards for other videos that, let's just say, sometimes wouldn't find their way into anyone's training program. It's been a great week at #DevLearn! Last night at #DemoFest, Diane Elkins and Amy Morrisey presented a course we built for American Institute of Steel Construction for their Fabricator Education program. We styled the video-based course like a Reality TV show. New employees see a mentor teaching a new hire fabrication skills like proper measuring or welding. Then, they get straight-to-camera testimonials from the mentor reinforcing the skills and the new hire talking about the experience. We supported the videos with skills practice and built support tools to help them on the job. We're incredibly proud of the course and honored that our colleagues at DemoFest loved it, too. Artisan took home Best of Show Vendor. So this just happened. During the general session of the #DevLearn conference, our own Diane Elkins received the prestigious "Guild Master Award" from The Learning Guild! This award recognizes members "who have consistently contributed to the community in terms of both quantity and quality of content--and thus helped make the community a vibrant center for learning." That's SO Diane, isn't it? And to make it even better, the award was a complete surprise to her! What a great way to begin rounding out Artisan Learning's 20th anniversary year.
