Tsai, MD, MHS, our practice specializes in caring for those that suffer from arthritis, autoimmune, and allergies. What Makes Us Different? Patient Education is Key to Effective Care In order to provide the most effective care for the patient, we encourage patients to be educated about their condition. Yong H. Tsai, MD, MHS, a native of Taiwan, received his medical degree from the China Medical College, Taiwan, in 1981. In 1983, he attended The Johns Hopkins University Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland, and completed a Master’s Degree of Health Science in Immunology, and a research fellowship in Allergy and Immunology. He completed his residency at Wayne State University from 1986 to 1989 and he returned to Johns Hopkins for a Clinical Fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology from 1989 to 1991. The University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor became his next endeavor where he completed a clinical fellowship in both Rheumatology and Geriatric Medicine from 1991 to 1993. During his last year at U of M, he also lectured in Internal Medicine. Since 1993, Yong H. Tsai, MD, MHS has devoted himself to his patients in Volusia and Flagler Counties, Florida. Dr. Tsai has been very active in clinical research, as Principal Investigator in a multitude of clinical trials and as Medical Director at International Medical Research. Since 2001, Dr. Tsai has been a medical columnist for the Daytona Beach News Journal. He also authored three books: Arthritis, Autoimmune Disorders & Chronic Pain in 2005, Osteoarthritis, Soft Tissue Rheumatism, & Osteoporosis in 2020, and Myofascial Pain, Neurogenic Pain, & Chronic Pain Syndrome in 2021.
