Meet the amazing kid actress Taya Offutt! She stars in Art of Me's latest film release "StreamThis!" Check out Taya's experience working with Art of Me in her mini-interview below! TAYA: "My experience working with Art of Me was very fulfilling. They were understanding of the cast when there were late nights, when it was cold, and when people forgot their lines. My experience with them was extremely positive. I think what made working with Art of Me so different was the fact that I was on screen. It may seem silly to some, but on-screen acting and stage acting are two completely different things. With screen, you get one final outcome; the actual film, and with stage acting, you get multiple outcomes; things go differently every show! My advice to young actors who are just starting out would definitely be to find a way to connect with the character you are playing. This makes it easier to find the emotion. Every role means putting yourself in someone else’s shoes. I would say the hardest role I’ve ever had, though, is Matilda. Right before Covid hit, I was supposed to play Matilda in a local production’s Matilda, and the lines I had to memorize were so complex. Unfortunately, the show was canceled due to the virus. Another thing I would advise is to never be disappointed with the role you receive; every character has a purpose, and some actors have even won awards for their non-lead roles!? As a kid actor, I try to make as much time as possible for schoolwork and use my time wisely in school. I put effort into memorizing my lines early on. As for friends, I like to call them or make plans with them whenever I have the time because socializing is also very important to me! My favorite part of being in the film StreamThis was truly just being on set and being able to communicate with the adults on set.
