ARSOME Technology looks forward to providing the United States Department of Defense augmented and virtual reality training modules to quicken shipbuilding, and better train maintainers when correcting or troubleshooting malfunctioning components; when called upon. Learn more about the challenges and opportunities the UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY face when preparing for future maritime threats: U.S. shipbuilders continue to produce the highest quality, safest and most advanced warships on the planet, said Brett A. Seidle, deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development, and acquisition, who testified at a recent House Armed Services Committee Republicans/Democrats subcommittee hearing on the state of U.S. shipbuilding. "We have the finest Navy ever assembled in the history of the world," Seidle said. "They're coming to a theater near you, bringing their A game." However, at a time when adversaries around the globe challenge the maritime commons, the U.S. shipbuilding industry is challenged to produce the quantity of ships at the rate required, he said.?Good thing we have Birdon Group shipbuilding capabilities in CT; they'll make it happen! We had an awesome time at (National Defense Industrial Association - (NDIA)?2025 Tactical Wheeled Vehicle Conference?sharing our ideas and insights on effective AR/VR maintenance training. At the conference, we also presented an opportunity to integrate AR training activities to?Trident Systems, a LightRidge Solutions Company?Predictive Maintenance Analyzer (PMA), deployed from a ruggedized?Getac?tablet; furthering the maintainers experience of learning and acting on important data/insights. Trident Systems,?Edward Baumann?and?ARSOME Technology,?David Oyanadel did a great job presenting the integration and opportunity for better maintenance training with the coupled technology. Kevin Douglas; thanks for your and?Getac?support, as usual! NCMS – National Center for Manufacturing Sciences.

Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) are important because they?help customers access technical information quickly and efficiently.?They also allow for more customization and interactivity than paper manuals. The magic happens when AR/VR technology is combined with IETM's; the combo allows customers to fix products parts/processes on their own with little to no assistance from customer service. Awesome work, from an awesome team of educators and enthusiasts! Than you for the invitation Colleen Bielitz, Ph.D. and Southern Connecticut State University College of Arts and Sciences !
One of the greatest strengths of the simulation community is its emphasis on collaboration. One example is our recent partnership with Southern Connecticut State University, where we delivered a presentation and led a hands-on workshop at the Office of Workforce and Lifelong Learning event. It was energizing to connect with so many leaders in XR Technology, including ARSOME Technology, David Oyanadel, Ted Dinsmore, David B. Pearlstone, MD MBA, Martin Sebban, Dror Goldberg and more. Special thanks to Amy Feest, Ed.D., Randall Rode, Lisa Lancor, Omar Abid, and Bogdan Zamfir for their incredible support—and a huge shoutout to Interim President Dr. Dwayne Smith for setting the tone (and even jumping into VR to drive a forklift!).

Great insights and updates from our David Oyanadel; related to our continuous work with the United States Department of Defense.
Collaborating with the United States Department of Defense (TACOM) (NCMS – National Center for Manufacturing Sciences) has been a pleasure. It has been an honor to witness the professionalism and dedication of countless individuals. Integrating Augmented and Virtual Reality (mixed reality - XR) for the military is a vital step forward, and we're grateful to contribute in this capacity. Here are some highlights: Enhanced troubleshooting capabilities:?Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (XR) can overlay step-by-step diagnostics directly onto vehicle components, helping maintenance personnel quickly identify and resolve issues. Streamlined procedures:?AR/XR provides technicians with detailed, interactive guides and virtual models, reducing the complexity of repairs and minimizing errors. Reduced reliance on physical manuals: AR/XR eliminates the need for bulky manuals and technical documentation, offering real-time access to information directly in the technician's field of view. Improved training and upskilling:?AR/XR delivers just-in-time training, allowing new or less experienced personnel to learn complex procedures efficiently with immersive, hands-on simulations. Optimized collaboration:?AR/XR facilitates effective communication among maintenance teams by enabling shared visualizations and remote expert assistance, ensuring quicker resolution of challenges.
