Empower, Engage, Innovate. ARROW is an enduring US academic and training hub for professional OSW workforce development.
关于我们
ARROW is the first DOE funded Center of Excellence in Offshore Wind. ARROW's mission is to: Establish a broadly comprehensive and multi-pronged OSW education and research program designed to prepare the next generation of US OSW professionals and establish global leadership for the US in OSW education. Empower the first cohorts of this next-generation US OSW workforce to seed a reliable and resilient, domestically educated, OSW professional workforce. Deliver innovations to accelerate achievement of US goals for OSW levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and deployment and ensure that the OSW system delivers energy in a reliable and resilient manner. Engage with stakeholder communities to ensure that the energy transition is just, equitable and fair, and that all stakeholders have a voice in the process.

Zack Westgate, an ARROW faculty member, just finished hosting ASCENT, a two-day, NSF-funded workshop in Boston on offshore geotechnics for the offshore wind energy industry. The event featured more than 40 participants from ~25 institutions, representing a geographically diverse group of US-based and international stakeholders comprising offshore wind developers, consultants, contractors, government regulators, and academics. ARROW faculty Sanjay Arwade and Don DeGroot, along with several ARROW students, also participated in the event.
