While Arrow’s products and services provide critical fundraising support to local nonprofits every day of the year, there are certain days that stand out and serve as reminders of the importance of our work. Veteran’s Day is one of those days. We at Arrow are proud to serve Veterans organizations across the country. We appreciate our veterans and thank them for their service. In honor of Veteran’s Day, NBC4 in Columbus, Ohio told the story of how Veterans organizations benefit from Arrow’s charitable gaming solutions. The story featured American Legion Post 144, Save a Warrior (a nonprofit beneficiary dedicated to mental health and suicide prevention among Veterans and first responders) and Arrow "Local veterans and their families are giving back to veterans’ nonprofits and organizations through something called electronic charitable gaming, e-pull tabs and e-bingo machines that are mostly played in veterans’ halls... Many of the machines in Ohio VFWs and American Legion Posts are made by Arrow International, which was founded by an Ohio veteran. Group Advocates for Electronic Pull Tabs in Indiana with Town Hall Leaders at the town hall said having E-Tabs, which are an electronic version of traditional paper pull tabs, would help veterans by raising money for the aforementioned organizations and bringing in younger members. “I really think, and I think some of the other [veteran service organizations] share this same thought, that it’ll help attract younger members into our posts because they’re not used to playing paper games..." said Richard Leirer a former state commander for the VFW.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice! Fall is upon us once again – the air becomes cool and crisp, while leaves gracefully float to the ground from the tree tops. It’s time to swap out our flip flops for boots, return to school, watch football games, dress up in costume to “trick or treat,” and snuggle up in a cozy sweater with a frothy Pumpkin Spiced Latte! The arrival of cooler weather allows us to appreciate the warmth of family, friends, and community – an ideal time to reconnect over an entertaining game of BINGO! https://bit.ly/3ZryMrm

As we reflect on the events of September 11, 2001, let us unite in gratitude for our first responders and the resilience of our communities. Together, we stand stronger and more connected than ever. Let’s spread kindness, show support to one another, and cherish the freedoms we enjoy. #PatriotDay #NeverForget #Unity #Hope

On Monday, Indiana American Legion and VFW leaders launched the “PlayIN for Charity” alliance to begin the conversation of updating the state’s charitable gaming laws specifically for VSOs. “It’s a no-brainer,” Mark Gullion with the American Legion said. ”We need to get the younger members in, and digital electronic gaming will get them in because that’s what they’re used to,” Richard Leirer, past state commander for the VFW, said. ”The more money they make as a non-profit, we can donate to charitable organizations,” Guillon said.
