I want to sincerely thank the Town of Thurmont for hosting ARRO Consulting, Inc., Mackenzie App-Furcinito from M.E. Simpson, managers and staff from the Town of Emmitsburg, the Borough of Greencastle, and the Borough of Hanover today at Thurmont’s Public Works building. Boaters now have better access to the Schuylkill River thanks to a brand-new drive-in area and launchpad at the Island Park Complex. ARRO teamed up with Schuylkill River Greenways (SRG), the Borough of Schuylkill Haven, the Island Park Committee, and several other agencies to bring this project to life. ?? The recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by Borough Council members, County Commissioners, State Legislators, and SRG representatives, garnered some local media attention, underscoring the project's significance to the community. A big thanks to the ARRO team involved for their essential role in this community project. Together, we're making outdoor recreation more accessible and enjoyable for all!
