Earlier today in New York, I was pleased to welcome 30 US travel and tourism industry leaders to a roundtable business event, to meet Northern Ireland’s Minister for the Economy Caoimhe Archibald with responsibility for tourism at Department for the Economy NI Representing all segments of the tourism market - Guided vacations ; FITs,; Affinity group travel; Retail travel professionals and broadcast media partners, they shared first hand their very positive experiences doing business in #NorthernIreland valuable insights and discussed future opportunities for growth Strengthening these partnerships and working together is key to delivering sustainable growth from the US market where visitors stay longer and spend more Tourism Ireland looks forward to working with the Minister and Department for the Economy NI to realise its ambitious plans to double the size of the tourism sector by 2035 to create a thriving industry .
