The ARNA 2024 Gala was a moving opportunity to showcase the nurses giving their best to their patients, friends, co-workers, and employers. We were pleased to recognize the following with DAISY Awards but showcase the nomination of over 65 nurses and teams. Direct Patient Care awards – Sally Carson-RN, Arkansas Department of Human Services, Callie Weems-LPN, Dallas County Medical Center Nurse Leader Awards – Jacqueline McEuen, LRSD, Mary Carter, Wellpath Lifetime Achievement Award - Jennifer Simmons, Arkansas Department of Health Newborn Screening Nurse-Led Team to ARcare CHRONIC DISEASE CARE MANAGEMENT TEAM Nurse Educator – Sharon Walters, UAM School of Nursing Nursing Student – Kaitlyn Wilson, UAM School of Nursing ARNA also recognized the Dallas County Medical Center emergency nurse team with special recognition for their teamwork on that fateful day in June.
