Thanks to Mr. Zasimczuk and SCCC 20/21-24 for inviting me along on their Savannah staff ride! So much great discussion about command and control, commanders intent, lines of communication, sustainment and logistics… lessons learned from our past that remain very relevant today. And to stand on the ramparts of Fort McCallister, the background of one of the most famous Signal Corps paintings, just brought it all home!

???? Driving Excellence: Signal Leaders embrace the Power of Data ???? The U.S. Army Signal School Mobile Training Team (MTT) recently conducted two dynamic Data for Leaders courses aimed at enhancing the skills of Signal Leaders. The first course took place at Fort Cavazos from November 4 to 7, followed by a second session at Fort Campbell from November 12 to 15. Under the instruction of Capt. Derrick Kozlowski, the Signal School Chief Data Officer, participants delved into a comprehensive curriculum that included critical topics such as data literacy, data governance, and the foundational principles of databases. The course also introduced Zero Trust fundamentals and emphasized the importance of creating insights through data visualization techniques using Power BI. Throughout the 24 hours of intensive training, Signal Leaders from prestigious units, including the 101st Airborne Division, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), and 5th Special Forces Group (SFG), devoted their time and energy to transform their understanding of data. The learning experience culminated in a hands-on challenge where Data Teams, composed of 18 students at each location, showcased their skills by creating a Power BI dashboard. The Signal School is committed to empowering Signal Leaders with the knowledge and tools necessary to harness the potential of data, reinforcing the objective of supporting a Data-Centric Army that is equipped to meet modern challenges. #DataForLeaders | #DataLiteracy | #SignalCorps | #SignalStrong | #SignalProud | #BeAllYouCanBe | #DataGovernance | #ZeroTrust | #SignalSchool | US Army | US Army TRADOC | US Army Cyber Center of Excellence | 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army | 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) | 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - US Army | Army Chief Information Officer | Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6 | U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command ??: Capt. ?? Season of Thanksgiving ?? Dozens of U.S. Army Signal School staff took time out of their busy schedules to give thanks and fellowship with one another. Chaplain (Maj.) Glen Thompson, U.S. Army Signal School, hosted a “Friendsgiving Luncheon” yesterday that was relatively short on time but overflowing with gratitude. “The year is coming to an end, and we all have a million things to be thankful for,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Linwood Barrett, 25th Regimental Command Sergeant Major. Col. Julia Donley, 43rd Chief of Signal and U.S Army Signal School Commandant, echoed Barrett’s sentiments, noting it has been a “rough couple of months” and emphasizing the importance of pausing to give thanks. “To be able to come together … have all the fellowship and identify things that we are thankful for, is a great time,” Donley shared. The luncheon included a Thanksgiving trivia-quiz for fun, and Thompson opened the floor for others to share what they are most thankful for this season. #SignalProud | #SignalStrong | #PositiveCulture | #OneTeam | #GivingThanks | US Army | US Army TRADOC | US Army Cyber Center of Excellence | U.S. Army Signal School Commandant ???? : Laura Levering, U.S. Army Signal School

At a panel discussion on October 14 during the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting, Lt. Gen. John Morrison, the Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6, described improvements the Army is making as it modernizes its network. “The most important thing we are doing,” he said, “is we are changing the institution. Institutional change is lasting change. We have changed the way we govern and prioritize requirements at the headquarters of the Army. We have changed the way that we align resources to those requirements.” Morrison added that the Army has also established a unified delivery of network capabilities, all under “a single operational commander (Army Cyber Command) who is responsible for operating, maintaining, and maneuvering the network on behalf of our Army.” #USArmySignalCorps #Signalcorps #USARMY @US_CYBERCOM @ARCYBER @armyfutures @Signal_School
