I am excited to share a recent task I completed at InternPulse . The team and myself was tasked with creating a #ProductRequirementsDocument(PRD) for a platform designed to provide opportunities for individuals seeking reused furniture. I found this idea to be highly marketable. Given the current inflation in Nigeria, many average Nigerians struggle to afford three square meals. Despite these challenges, people still desire comfort—a piece of furniture where they can sit and enjoy time with their family. Currently, furniture is quite expensive; civil servants and corps members are struggling to afford these items. Now, imagine having a platform that addresses these needs, connecting people who are willing to sell their quality furniture at fair prices due to relocation, a desire for new furniture, or personal reasons. This platform would connect buyers in desperate need of these products at a lower cost, while also enabling sellers to sell their items promptly. Working on this product idea with the amazing team member Castrol Ayo , Oluwapelumi Ikumapayi , at InternPulse has helped me clearly define the product, the problem it aims to solve and its significance, the target users, core features, user personas, user flow, and success metrics. I want to thank my mentor Prince Ekpenyong , During our presentation, he made us realize the importance of measuring success metrics as product managers. He explained the formulas to use to calculate Net Promoter Score (NPS), retention rate, and user acquisition. With his explanation and feedback, I have learned the importance of analyzing facts with data. Our presentation provided insights into its strengths and limitations, as well as real-world use cases. This experience allowed us to refine our research, technical, and presentation skills while deepening our understanding of advanced AI models.
