?? ? Celebrating Virtual Classes 9-24 and 1-25: Fall Follies and Triumphs! As we officially step into fall—with pumpkin spice lattes (and pecan spice lattes-shot out to Starbucks) filling the air and Halloween treats (including candy corn) around every corner—it’s time to reflect on two fantastic virtual classes that wrapped up this season! First, a huge shoutout to?Virtual Class 9-24, who graduated on October 4th with 39 resilient students. This class truly earned the title of “my favorite class,” navigating the challenges of virtual learning with humor and tenacity. Led by SGM Dorothy Anderson and an outstanding team of group leaders, they dubbed themselves the “Zombie Bus,” embracing the tough workload and even designing T-shirts featuring my (Dr. Aseba Green) quote: “It’s kinda easy… but not really.” Kudos to?LTC Tracy Tawiah, our Distinguished Graduate! Next up,?Virtual Class 1-25?graduated on November 4th, marking the start of the new fiscal year and the end of our HTARC campaign until January 2025. With 45 students, they celebrated in style, embracing the spirit of the season and proving to be full of treats (not just Halloween candy!). A special thanks to LTC Matthew Wright and his fantastic team for their leadership. Kudos to COL Damien Krantz being the Distinguished Graduate! As we gear up for winter and the excitement of basketball season, I’m grateful to work with such an amazing team at the Army Force Management School. Congratulations to class 2-24 as they completed the he Synchronization Staff Officer (SSO) Course. This has been one of our largest class to date. This course is primarily designed to provide Director of Materiel (DOM) DCS G-8 students (serving SSOs) with an in-depth understanding of SSO specific missions, responsibilities and organizational relationships, while also serving as a team building opportunity for students from other agencies [ASC(LMI); ASA(ALT); NGB; OCAR; etc.] who routinely interact with SSOs in support of the Force Development mission. This course serves as an entry-level education for officers and civilians assigned to SSO positions and those who interact with SSOs. As an important part of the SSOa??s job, this course examines how an SSO synchronizes the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS); the Defense Acquisition System (DAS); and, the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process in support of the research, development, acquisition, procurement delivery allocations and sustainment of required capabilities. ?? **Celebrating Summer Success: HTARC 7-24 & 8-24!** ?? **(Long Post Alert! ??)** I wanted to take a moment to celebrate two exceptional classes that have wrapped up their journeys this summer. First up, HTARC 7-24—what a ride! With 45 students, including 23 future FA50 officers, this class navigated tornado drills and IT hiccups with resilience and humor. Special congratulations to MAJ Bach Dang, our Distinguished Graduate, and to all who participated in the double ceremonies and doctoral defenses. Under the leadership of LTC Michelle Elliott and an outstanding team, this class is set for continued success in their FA50 Qualification Course. And now, let’s give a big shoutout to HTARC 8-24! As summer transitions to fall, this class of 40 students weathered their own storm—literally and figuratively—with tornado drills, tech troubles, and a dash of analog navigation. MAJ Andrew Storey shone as the Distinguished Graduate, and SGM Ruben Picon’s team, along with the fantastic group leaders, guided them through with dedication and a touch of fun. As we embrace sweater weather and football season (my favorite!), it’s clear that this class has a bright future ahead. To both classes—your hard work, adaptability, and spirit have been truly inspiring. From intense debates to unforgettable laughs, this group of 37 graduates conquered the How the Army Runs Course with style. MAJ Gedaliah Scharold clinched the title of Distinguished Graduate in a showdown for the ages, proving excellence knows no bounds. Cheers to LTC Kimberly York and the exceptional leadership that guided the class through this journey. Here's to forging ahead with newfound knowledge and camaraderie. AFMS conducted the third exportable training mission in support of The Judge Advocate General Learning Center and School (TJAGLC&S) onsite at Charlottesville, VA, 29-30 May 2024. The AFMS training served as a force management module within the 31st Judge Advocate Warrant Officer Basic Course (JAWOBC). The audience consisted of 31 WO1 Warrant Officers, four of which were Marines. Subjects included a Force Management Overview, Organizational Design & Development, Change Management Plan, Total Army Analysis, Command Plan, PPBE, and FMS Web. Warrant Officers serve as the primary administrators within Judge Advocate General organizations, and the students considered this instruction to be highly relevant to their role at home station. This week, we bid farewell to MAJ Frank Muniz Jr, the Deputy Commandant of the Army Force Management School. It has been a pleasure working with him. Frank has a wealth of knowledge in the Force management community, and we look forward to witnessing the success of his next endeavors. Please take some time and send Frank a farewell message.

Congratulations to the 20 new FA50s and the three new Manpower and Force Management Functional Community 26 (Civilian equivalent to miltary FA50) personnel that graduated after 14 long weeks. We are extremely proud of each and every one of you and look forward to your contributions in the field. CPT Stasia Rogacki was the Distinguished Honor Graduate for class 1-24! The next FA50 Qualification course begins 5 Aug 2024.
