Leading the way to a future where people and robots work together to grow U.S. manufacturing leadership

关于我们

The ARM (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing) Institute accelerates the development and adoption of innovative robotics technologies that are the foundation of every advanced manufacturing activity today and in the future. We leverage a unique, robust and diverse ecosystem of partners across industry, academia and government to: - make robotics, autonomy and artificial intelligence more accessible to U.S. manufacturers large and small - train and empower the manufacturing workforce - strengthen our economy and global competitiveness - elevate our national security and resilience The ARM Institute operates as part of the Manufacturing USA network, and is funded by the U.S. Department of Defense. By creating a collaborative ecosystem of like-minded organizations, the ARM Institute is speeding the movement of industrial robots into commercial use, while preparing a labor force to operate and manage these technologies. ARM is an integral part of Pittsburgh’s strategy to define the future of the global manufacturing economy and will be the lead tenant at Hazelwood Green, a unique hub that will revolutionize U.S. manufacturing. If you’ve ever sat on a bench, tossed trash in a receptacle, or gathered around a table in a public space, you’ve likely used many of the commercial site furnishings manufactured by Keystone Ridge Designs, Inc. With almost 30 years of growth and experience, Keystone Ridge Designs remains one of the many small to medium-sized manufacturers that power our nation’s economy. Recently, Keystone Ridge Designs wanted to explore how robotics might be able to further enhance their manufacturing competitiveness, but they weren’t sure where to start. ARM Member Catalyst Connection referred them to our Robotics Manufacturing Hub team and their robotics journey took off! They were able to leverage free services provided by the Robotics Manufacturing Hub to evaluate their operations, receive a free, customized proof-of-concept, and support the installation of their new robotics system. Check out the full success story in the link below, including how our team not only helped this manufacturer, but also helped to connect other partners and equipment providers within our consortium to this opportunity. https://lnkd.in/eawF-8-F

ARM Members: Join us next Thursday (April 3) for a webinar exploring collaboration possibilities and a new RFI for Members around robotics for the textile goods industry with Tapestry and RecircledOfficial! Tapestry Inc., an American multinational fashion holding company, is interested in working with the ARM Institute and our consortium members to explore how robotics and automation can enhance their operations and address their areas of need, specifically those related to circularity: the ability to take back products and get as much value out of that material at the end of a product's life. This webinar will explore these needs in more detail, enable ARM Members to ask questions, and outline the process for submitting concepts and solutions to possibly work with Recircled and Tapestry on these efforts.
