The Visiting Teachers from Spain Program, promoted by the Embassy of Spain in the United States in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education, has brought more than 10,000 Spanish teachers to more than 30 states in the past 35 years to teach for one to three years. But one teacher enjoyed her experience in Texas so much that she stayed, and 20 years later she’s not only working in the Arlington ISD world languages department, but she just welcomed five new teachers participating in the same program to our district.
