Last week, two of Arkview Capital’s founders, Vijay Mehta and Pavel Chernyshov, had the privilege of joining AAAIM’s Lunar New Year Gala in New York City, celebrating and supporting the next generation of AAPI leaders in investment management. We’re incredibly proud that Vijay Mehta was honored with the Pinnacle Award: AAAIM Community Builder Award for his contributions to the AAAIM community and his efforts to support emerging diverse managers. It was a fantastic evening recognizing the impact of programs like Accelerate, which provides AAPI undergraduate students with industry exposure and resources to launch their careers. We also encourage all diverse managers to explore AAAIM’s Diverse Managers Directory, a valuable initiative connecting diverse GPs with LPs who are committed to inclusive capital allocation. As Vijay shared: “The Diverse Manager Directory is an invaluable resource for Emerging Managers and LPs alike. Empowering the Next Generation- Last week, Arkview Capital partnered with New York Cares and the Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) in the Bronx to host an inspiring career workshop for about 25 incredible students, ages 12-18. The day was filled with activities to prepare students for their futures: resume writing, discovering strengths, mock interviews, and career mapping.
