The Office of Skills Development is a division of the Arkansas Department of Commerce with a mission to strategically invest in all levels of the Arkansas workforce, connecting industry and educational initiatives to build an employee pipeline of skilled and motivated Arkansans. We are inspired by our vision to build corporate confidence and promote economic development and employment opportunities resulting in a prosperous Arkansas. We do this by awarding skills development grants, overseeing secondary career and technical education centers, and promoting and developing apprenticeship programs around the state.
