?? Yesterday, Leadership Clark County Class X, presented by Citizens Bank, had an amazing Natural Resources Session!?? The day included tours of The Ross Foundation and Allen Morgan's farming operation, engaging talks from industry leaders like Dr. Kyle Cunningham with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture and Greg Hay with ArborGen, and even more. Special thanks to Clark County Farm Bureau and Ouachita Valley Meats for sponsoring lunch. We’re so proud of this group and can’t wait for December’s session! Teri Cox-Meadows ED. Recently featured in Arkansas Money & Politics, former Economic Development Corporation of Clark County board member, Ross Whipple’s lifetime of work in forestry and finance have made him a true champion of sustainability in Arkansas. As president of Horizon Capital Partners and chairman of the Ross Foundation, he combines business acumen with a deep passion for environmental conservation. With nearly 70,000 acres of managed timberland and overseeing the Ross Foundation’s 64,000 acres for public use and conservation, his innovative approach to forestry proves that economic success and ecological stewardship can go hand in hand. We’re proud to have Ross Whipple leading by example in our community! https://buff.ly/3CLYVaZ

Clark County is thriving, and a recent article by Rex Nelson with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette captures our incredible momentum! From major investments like Hostess' $140 million "bakery of the future" and Veolia's $600 million cutting-edge hazardous waste facility to Georgia-Pacific’s continued growth, the county is becoming a hub of innovation and opportunity. These projects, paired with infrastructure upgrades and the Southwest Arkansas Mega Site ready to welcome new businesses, position Clark County as a rising star in Arkansas’ economic landscape. With strong community leadership, a skilled workforce, and strategic location, Clark County's future looks brighter than ever. Let’s celebrate this exciting chapter for our community! https://lnkd.in/gFdTVpRq #Arkansas #swarkansas #clarkcountyar #ArkadelphiaAR #communityinvestment

?? Join us in congratulating Pete Prutzman, President Emeritus of Kingwood Forestry Services, Inc., on his induction into the Arkansas Foresters Hall of Fame! Prutzman, a distinguished leader in forestry, was honored at the SAF conference on November 6, 2024. He now joins an elite group of only 27 foresters recognized since 1994, with the Hall of Fame proudly housed in the Forest Resources Building at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. We’re proud to have Kingwood Forestry Services as a valued member of our Chamber and to celebrate this incredible achievement with them!
