Celebrating the Creation Zoo being open to our guests! So many teams worked on this project to deliver a great product! Trying take sometime to celebrate what has been accomplished before moving on to getting the rest of the zoo open. Walkabout and stage coming later this fall!

I never cease to be amazed at the talent God has brought to the Answers in Genesis ministry. Take for instance the staff in our design and fabrication studios where so many talented people build the various exhibits and other items for our two attractions, the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. This is a behind-the-scenes look at the large CNC machine at our fabrication shops. Josiah is busy cutting out parts for the new cabinets for the POS machines which will be installed inside Emzara’s Buffet at the Ark Encounter. Going vertical! How exciting to see the steel structure going up for our new Welcome Center and Jerusalem Model building at the Ark Encounter! So much fun! More updates to come!

We added two giant anteaters to the collection almost two weeks ago! This is Quinn, she will move to the Creation Museum once renovations are completed this summer. Quinn and Douglas (who will remain at the Ararat Ridge Zoo at the Ark) are fantastic additions and are already serving as ambassadors for giant anteaters in the wild! They are incredibly designed. Fun fact: giant anteaters don’t have teeth, they use their tongue to slurp up ants! The Eden Zoo renovation is getting so close to the finish line. All the signage is proofed and ready to print, the animals are mostly acquired, murals are ready to be painted, fencing is going in….so many teams are working on this project. It’s going to be amazing when it opens this summer! We still have some openings for zookeepers at the Eden Zoo at the Creation Museum. So many fun projects going on at our Ark Encounter and Creation Museum Attractions Design Studio right now! Protoceratops exhibit, huge scale model diorama of first century Jerusalem, themed props (such as a chariot) for our new Welcome Center, and beautiful signage for our new Eden Teaching Center, to name a few!

A lizard on a surf board?!? Our Animal Programs team at Ark Encounters Ararat Ridge Zoo is well into rehearsals for a new animal encounter debuting this spring! We currently have seasonal positions available on our animal programs team for those passionate about animal training and sharing the gospel and animals with our guests! ?????????? https://lnkd.in/g3j2EuCs

We had the staff picnic for the hundreds of Answers in Genesis employees and their families Sunday afternoon. In addition to the Highland games that teams participated in during the event, there was also a baking contest, bounce houses for the kids, great food, and great fellowship. We love our AiG staff and families!
