    With Thanksgiving and the holiday season coming upon us, it is that time of year that we celebrate reflection and gratitude. Arizona Talks is extraordinarily thankful to everyone who has helped make us the growing community we continue to be. We are a community of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and across the political spectrum that works to help build a society that has more open, honest, and constructive conversations about the issues and topics that affect us. If this is something that sounds great to you, we would love to have you join us! Right now we are in the middle of our campaign to register 100 new Arizona Talks Members by the end of the year. We are nearly a third of the way to our goal. So please, become a member and help us in our mission to improve our civic discourse. It would be one more thing for us to be thankful for! Elections highlight our commitment to democracy and our role in shaping a brighter future. While they often reveal differences, they also have the power to unite us, strengthening resilience in our democracy. How will we respond to the recent election, and how can we make our country stronger through better civic discourse? Despite our differences, Americans agree on core values and even on solutions to complex issues. According to a recent AP-NORC poll, a strong majority of U.S. adults support fundamental rights like privacy, freedom of religion, voting rights, and equal protection under the law. In Arizona, a 2024 poll shows that 79% of voters support increased funding for K-12 public education, and 77% favor comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship.
