We’re excited to share the latest progress on Family Promise of Greater Phoenix’s Legacy Village, a groundbreaking micro-housing community supported by a $100,000 grant from the Arizona Housing Fund! Located on the grounds of First Christian Church in Glendale, this innovative project is 85% complete and set to open by the end of this month. This six-unit development by @familypromizeaz made from converted shipping containers, will provide transitional housing for families experiencing homelessness. Designed as a bridge to stable living, the fully furnished, solar-powered units will offer affordable rent ranging from $400 to $950 per month—far below Glendale’s average rental costs. Nestled in the heart of the 85301 ZIP code, an area hit hardest by rising evictions, Legacy Village will have a positive impact on families in the community. Those who stay in the transitional housing community will be able to stay up to 90 days as they work toward long-term stability. Partner Spotlight: Today, we're excited to welcome @livingstonebuilders as our newest partner in the mission to end homelessness in Arizona! Founded by Nate and Abby Gossage, Living Stone Builders brings a powerful commitment to community support. When we asked how he chose to support AZHF, Nate shared: “My wife Abby and I have always wanted to be actively involved in the effort to help the homeless community in Arizona in getting back on their feet. However, working to seek out and vet various organizations to be sure we're supporting one who is genuinely putting their resources towards having a direct impact on the community and helping those in need, can be very time consuming. We were very fortunate to have a trusted friend who's company helps support the Arizona Housing Fund, introduce us to the organization and give us insight on the many ways that the fund directly benefits and impacts those in need and how every dollar goes towards the cause. Howard and his team have done an incredible job in putting the financial resources donated, to work in ways that can be seen first hand within the community and we are blessed to now be apart of this mission and look forward to working with the Arizona Housing Fund for many years!" Living Stone Builders will contribute to AZHF by donating $100 from each monthly builder fee draw on all construction projects, along with a percentage of proceeds from every spec home sold. This generosity will directly fuel our mission, impacting lives across the state.
