Last Tuesday, Andy Berke, Administrator of USDA Rural Development, announced Sierra Southwest, a not-for-profit under the AzGT umbrella, has been awarded a $55 million PACE Grant! We were honored to have many community leaders attending: Senator Wadsack, Senator Gabaldon, Mayor of Town of Sahuarita Tom Murphy, Mayor of City of Benson, Arizona Joe Konrad, Taylor from Senator Kelly's office, President of Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center Randy Graf, Dan Barrera President of Sierra Southwest Cooperative, CEO of SSVEC Jason Bowling, Chief Operating Officer of Mohave Electric Cooperative, Inc Jon Martell, and Joshua DeSpain Business Manager at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 570. Alfonso Romero from Juan Ciscomani's office presented certificates of special congressional recognition to AzGT CEO Patrick Ledger and Trico Electric Cooperative CEO Brian Heithoff for their continued drive to innovate and commitment to their members.
