After awarding student #scholarships at our Phoenix Townhall this year, we had an idea. What if we could provide even more financial aid to #nursingstudents? In the face of a nursing shortage, how much of an impact could we have on Arizona’s next generation #nurses? And how would that shape the future of the #nursing workforce? That is where the “Nurses of Tomorrow: The 10K Match Challenge” was born. Through December 31st, every dollar (up to $10k) donated to AzFFN will be doubled and given back to students through scholarships in 2025. Help us make a change and lessen the financial burden on Arizona's nursing students: https://lnkd.in/erktap8v.

Advancing the Nursing Profession and Promoting a Healthy Arizona
关于我们
The Arizona Nurses Association (AzNA) is a statewide membership-based professional association of licensed nurses. Founded in 1919, AzNA is the oldest and largest nursing association in Arizona. Our members represent all segments of nursing practice, bedside to administration, consulting to advanced practice, and education to legislation. AzNA members come from all practice settings: hospital, home and community health, public health, higher education, long-term care, school health, and policy. As diverse as they are, AzNA members share a common purpose: Advancing excellence in nursing. It's a pursuit that requires commitment, involvement, and leadership - fortunately, these are inherent traits of nurses. AzNA is not a union. We are a voluntary organization that works with everyone to get good things accomplished for nurses and their patients. Every member is encouraged to get involved. All membership meets in odd-numbered years at Convention, usually held in the fall.

??AzHHA is proud to announce a critical step towards further developing the healthcare workforce – the launch of the Arizona Transition to Practice Program for New Graduate Registered Nurses. Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) contracted with AzHHA to assist with the administration of this program, and AzHHA has partnered with a national vendor, OpusVi (Latin for workforce), who has developed a transition to practice program that enables healthcare systems and organizations to upskill and retain top talent, to implement a statewide 12-month Arizona Transition to Practice Program. Why a Transition to Practice program? While it is important to increase the number of new nurses in the pipeline, it is also important to retain new nurses in their roles. A formal Transition to Practice program provides another level of support for new nurses and has been shown to increase retention. The program will give priority to critical access hospitals or hospitals located in counties with a population of less than 500,000 people to ensure that areas with the most critical workforce shortages are able to retain their new nurses.??
