??The Arizona Transition to Practice Program aims to build a resilient and enduring workforce while increasing the capacity for our workforce to engage in emergency preparedness and response. ??Earlier this month, Karen Ofafa, program director, EdD, MPH, BSN, RN, and Terri Rieser, MSN, RN, CCE, nurse educator and site champion at Whiteriver Indian Hospital, completed training for Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents through FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness. ????In this course, they learned essential disaster planning, response and recovery, and they will use their knowledge to train other participants in the Arizona Transition to Practice Program.
