ABCS staff members receive weekly devotions from our leadership, such as this one from our Arms of Love Foster Care Director in Phoenix:? “The Bible is clear that the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives will produce good fruit (Matthew 7:17-19, John 15:5-6). Galatians 5 lists out the Fruit of the Spirit – Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Goodness, and Self-Control. At first glance, it’s easy to read this list and simply admire the things listed as great qualities. At second glance, what a challenge! I’ve realized that living into even one of these areas is nearly impossible. This gives me new gratitude for what Christ has done for me on the cross. He came to save us from sin and gave us His Spirit to help us to produce good fruit. We simply cannot produce good fruit without making Him Lord of all areas of our lives; we have to surrender our human desires and motivations...Making Him Lord and setting our minds on Him will lead us to exude life and peace (Romans 8:6) and good fruit. As a social service ministry, there is a lot of emphasis on what we do and the services we provide; however, I have become increasingly grateful that the Holy Spirit is at work in all of this. It starts with God! The challenge and the encouragement is to submit to Christ and through Him we will produce good fruit in our lives and our ministry.”??

Our State Director of New Life Counseling says that his most successful clients are “those who are willing to face change, pains and hurts, and to actually do the work that comes from counseling”.
