Thank you to the team at Arival for giving me and Protect Group the opportunity to present "What is your Experience Worth?", a guide to pricing ????. We had an opportunity to dive deep into the service cost and retail pricing worksheet that I developed for the GetConnected! program for operators. The worksheet allows operators to list a variety of costs such as staff, vehicles, maintenance, etc. as well as business variables such as the percentage of reseller sales, processing fees, booking fees, reseller commissions, and much more. It's a great tool to help you determine your break-even pricing and can be helpful in determining baseline profitability. Those who attended the Arival Activate Edinburgh event will have the ability to download the worksheet and presentation through the Arival App shortly. After a day of experiences, our first U.K. event kicked off Saturday evening in spectacular fashion at the National Museums Scotland, sponsored by GetYourGuide where attendees had a chance to connect and cheers ?? This morning attendees had the unique opportunity to be part of experiential learning sessions, an incredible way to immerse yourself in a conference! Thanks to our hosts: ?? Scotland Food & Drink (Fiona Richmond) w/ a tea-tasting by Chiya & Chai (Sandra Benn) at the Bonnie & Wild's Scottish Marketplace ??? The Royal Yacht Britannia & Fingal Hotel ?? Johnnie Walker Princes Street After lunch, CEO Douglas Quinby kicked things off and since the opportunity for experience operators has never been greater, we dove right into sessions focused on Educating and Elevating their businesses. ??? We're sure notepads are already filled with action items from #GenerativeAI to working with OTAs (online travel agencies) and booking system selection to corporate tours and digital marketing. We ended the day like all great Scots do, in the pub with a pint talking about the great takeaways and preparing for a full day tomorrow! Haggis ?? Edinburgh Zoo had an icon born last week in the form of a little female pygmy hippo ?? Jonny Appleyard, Hoofstock Team Leader said, “Haggis is doing really well so far and it is amazing to see her personality beginning to shine already. The first 30 days are critical for her development, so the pygmy hippo house will be closed for now to allow us to keep a close eye on mum and baby at this sensitive time.” ??This pygmy hippo represents an Endangered species, sadly in decline. Just 2,500 remain in the wild due to habitat loss. “While Thailand’s Moo Deng has become a viral global icon, it is important to remember that pygmy hippos are incredibly rare. It is great to have our own little ambassador right here in Edinburgh to connect with our visitors and help raise awareness of the challenges the species face in the wild.” ??The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland
