Around 4.4 million Australians live with a disability. People with disability form the world's largest minority and the only minority group anyone can become a member of at any time. ? Disability may be visible or invisible. In fact, 90% of Australians living with a disability have invisible disabilities. ?? Every year, 1 in 6 Australians experience disability discrimination, and 44% of complaints made to the Australian Human Rights Commission are about disability discrimination. ?? Moreover, 1 in 3 people with disability report that their needs are not being met, and 1 in 3 avoid situations because of their disability. So, why should you care about disability inclusion? On Sunday 11th August, he will be participating in his 4th Annual City2Surf raising money for the Sony Foundation Children’s Holiday Camp. The Children's Holiday Camp Program is a unique respite program that sees high school and university students take on the responsibility for the care of children with disability, allowing their families to have a valuable weekend off!

Low expectations of #disabled people are the most harmful and pervasive destroyers of opportunity. Low expectations can be encountered everywhere, the supermarket, at a social barbecue, at school and work, and even within the specialist services which are supposed to empower us.
