You do not want to miss this live event in Boston on March 13. Look at this lineup! This Quarter Century: An Industry Appraisal of Conflict, Continuity & Change In the first panel on Cross-Market issues, moderator JP Jaillet from Choate Hall will lead a discussion with Stefanie David from Munich Re and Brendan McQuiggan from Chubb where they will examine and compare how a variety of issues are treated in different jurisdictions, including cession practices, arbitration practice and norms, views on aggregation, and emerging reinsurance risks. The second panel, on Colossal Property Losses, moderator Moderator: David Attisani from Choate Hall, along with John O’Connor from Sompo and Kiera Goral from Swiss Re, will explore the most vexing issues and perils currently facing the industry, including California wildfires, Florida hurricanes, convective storms, so-called “secondary perils”, and causation/number of occurrences challenges. In addition, this experienced panel will address traditional limitations on cat modeling and property cat claim handling practices, while advancing suggestions for innovation and improvement of these tools. Finally, we will discuss the evolving role of reinsurance in supporting community and economic infrastructure in the wake of massive property damage and loss. On the final panel on Cyber, moderator Leah Spivey from Munich Re, along with Eileen Sorabella from Arch. Anna Maria Landaverdi from Euclid Cyber and Monique Ferraro from Hartford Steam Boiler will address the fact there have been few disputes to date, but the LOB is fraught with opportunity for differing wording interpretations leading to conflicts between insureds, insurers and reinsurers and it may just be a matter of time before these become more commonly subject to arbitration. We will start our discussion by talking about cyber product development or a brief history of cyber insurance and reinsurance. Then we will draw parallels between that evolution and the current state of AI and Cyber related issues. Finally, we will wrap up by addressing catastrophic risk in cyber and various reinsurance structures and some concerns regarding same. Register Today: https://lnkd.in/efUtb68Y
