Through that program, $120 may not sound like a lot to many of you, but for some people in our state and on families just trying to put food on their tables, we can,” said Sanders.

Thank you, Governor Sanders, and all state agencies for leading the charge in the Agency-Wide Holiday Food Drive in partnership with the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance! Running from November 18th through December 2nd, this initiative brings together all 15 state agencies to support local food banks and combat food insecurity in Arkansas. Each agency is collecting non-perishable items like canned goods, pasta, rice, and snacks at their main Little Rock offices. The drive also includes friendly competition, with prizes awarded for categories like most food collected, creative collection methods, best promotional efforts, and enthusiastic participation. Every September the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance joins food banks and hunger relief groups across the country to raise awareness about and take action against hunger.
