???? Happy National Ag Day! ???? Today, we celebrate the incredible farmers who are the heart of our Arkansas Foodbank mission. Produce was the top food distributed by the Arkansas Foodbank in 2024. Thanks to these farmers' & producers' hard work and dedication, over 11 million pounds of fresh produce were distributed to individuals, kids, and seniors across our state. Our next Staff Highlight is Meita Drakulich! Meita is our Financial Coordinator - Accounts Payable, and this month marks her one-year anniversary at Arkansas Foodbank. In her role, she manages invoicing and payments. When asked about her favorite parts of the job, Meita shared, "I absolutely love my job! I'm motivated to go to work every day. The work is exciting, and my coworkers and bosses are great! I'm proud of my work, especially ensuring invoices are paid on time and minimizing payment errors." Thank you for everything you do, Meita!

For 25 years, THV11, Arkansas Foodbank, and Arkansas community members like you have been coming together to raise cereal for kids in Arkansas through the Summer Cereal Drive. To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we're setting an ambitious, record-setting goal of raising 500,000 boxes of cereal — and we need YOUR help to make it happen! How can you get involved? 1. We were thrilled to be part of the grand opening of the new Dollar General Distribution Center in North Little Rock! ?? Our Food Sourcing team has been working closely with Dollar General on a food rescue partnership that will help donate thousands of food items instead of letting them go to waste. Additionally, a huge thank you to Dollar General for their generous $20,000 donation in support of the fight against hunger! ?? We’d also like to recognize the incredible work of our full operations team, who coordinate these large-scale pickups, sort donations, and ensure they are stored and delivered fresh to our partner agencies. This March, our partners at Walmart are Fighting Hunger & Sparking Change with a new at-the-register donation program. When you shop at Walmart or Sam’s Club, you can round up your total to support Arkansas Foodbank! Simply ask about the program during checkout. We’re grateful for our partner agency, Hope’s Closet, who regularly picks up donations from Walmart. Thanks to Walmart, Hope’s Closet is able to better serve hundreds of Cabot families every week!
