Looking to the future From the desire for more hands-on, real-world learning to a stronger preference for community and belonging, students today expect more out of the college experience. As future host of the 2034 Olympic Village, University of Utah is seizing the once-in-a-generation opportunity to reimagine the college campus experience for the 21st century and beyond. Their goal is to create a vibrant, 24/7 college environment where the campus and community are seamlessly integrated, offering students a rich, distinctive educational experience that prepares them for the future. To achieve this, the university partnered with Aretee to craft the "College Town Magic Strategic Framework"—a comprehensive roadmap for shaping the future of life on campus. By engaging with diverse stakeholders and leveraging innovative design principles, Aretee helped establish a unified vision and guiding principles for the initiative that align physical spaces and programming with the university’s ambitious goals. The resulting framework positions the University of Utah to meet the evolving needs of students while fostering a dynamic, connected, and future-ready campus.
